Growth Over Time

My practice explores aspects of mapping and documenting the growth that occurs over time in local communities. My interest lies in what's been left behind and what is new in our surroundings over a period of time. I am working site-specifically in my local village of Ferns in Co. Wexford, a very rural and secluded place in the South East. I have chosen to document the growth and change through the area organically as a method of preservation. On site research has translated into screen-printing and imprints highlighting the areas’ growth and layers over time.
