What has surfaced with Lockdown has been a remarkable experience giving me time with my horse; where my sense of well-being has improved - only to be reciprocated and mirrored in my horse when he sees me. The sense of well-being in both of us demonstrates the power a human/ animal relationship can have. It is not only my presence of being with the horse, but the time invested in his grooming has seen our well-being and relationship flourish once again. Making sure my pride and joy is looking his best has drawn me to understand the importance of personal grooming to our own well being, now tested in lockdown conditions. I documented my journey in lockdown through material manipulation of the riding jacket and horse apparel.
