In the world we live in today trends and keeping up with trends have a huge role to play in our society. People become fixated on changing the way they appear, just because someone on social media has. The more this happens, the more everyone just ends up looking the same. This project is a break down of the impact of the cosmetic industry we are living in at the moment. It is broken down into three sections, The Future, The Past and The Present of cosmetic surgery world, and the effects it has on young people in this generation.
The Past - In this project I looked at how we used to see beauty decades ago, which was through sculpture, unlike now which would be through social media. I combined the aspect of greek sculpture with cosmetic enhancements and made a sculpture - Venus De Kalista. this is the final poster showing how it would be shown in a museum.
The Future - When I think about the future of the cosmetic industry, I thought about how it might be advertised, which then brought me with the brand "attach". Attach is a futuristic website where it allows you to virtually try on different features and change the way you look by uploading a picture of yourself and attaching the different features.
