Holographic Representations

Following on from the subjects of memory, conflict and family dynamics, I have continued to examine what is lost when considering the past.
The film project explores grief, family conflict and the concept of the ‘holographic identity’ of a person, family and society – all being of a whole simultaneously. This is explored in some experimental imagery. The film is accompanied by a live video installation, which builds on the apparatus used to produce imagery for the film, and projects images of the viewing space recursively onto itself.
I have continued to use photographs from the past, to explore the concepts of knowledge of the future which backward thinking gives you. I am also interested in exploring the contemplative nature of the window.
The paintings explore the narrative symbolism of loss, isolation, unreality and delusion.
