The ‘Pirate Artist’ is about the ideas. The idea of what it would have been like to have been an artist pirate and to try and create the persona and get into his headspace. One of the main goals of the project was to learn and take in as much information pertaining to pirates and use it going forward and add it to my practice. To take from the bad and try and make something good out of it, to add to my bag of tricks and also show growth and process as an artist, to be more free.
