We are used to creating a mental landscape, which we can control. Often there comes a point where we cannot control the world and what happens around us – I am responding to the feelings that occur when this happens. My work aims to blur boundaries of concrete worlds, piecing together multiple realities and offering nature, the built environment and memory as portals into otherness. Applying strategies of photography, collage and digital manipulation, I conceptually integrate this loss of control into tactile digital works that look at paradoxes and the hidden world beyond our given senses. By combining drawing, painting, photography, collage and digital manipulation, my work invites the audience on a journey through space, time and a revisioning of what lies before our eyes.
