The Zone

As a foreign and displaced element to the city of Dublin, I usually find myself trying to go unnoticed within its landscapes, avoiding stepping out from the background. Drawn by personal dispositions rather than by environmental impositions, this way of encountering Dublin became a main feature of my art practice, shaped in the MFA Art in the Contemporary World as a way to bring into the studio those elements that challenge my spatial practice in the urban sphere. This inside-outside contextual negotiation is the keystone over which my work rises.

My work is encapsulated in undriven walks and the recompilation of visual and sonic documentation, which I reassemble in the studio space. Looking to find speculative approaches to everyday common places, my work attempts to be an alternative to the question what is to be done, moving the focus towards what wants to be imagined in the places where our everyday life occurs.
