Lorna Lafferty
Drawing, Print and Mixed Media – Inspiration "Environment" and "Unravelled Treasure"
Lorna Lafferty’s artistic practice draws on a combination of textiles and print. Her recent work consists of prints inspired by her local ‘Environment’ – Dun Laoghaire Harbour, along with the inherited love of needle work depicted in ‘Unravelled Treasure’. Print artists she admires include Jim Dine and Helen Peyton, as well as the ecoprint artist India Flint. The chief aim of her art is to keep inherited skills alive and to continue to explore art through mixed media.
