Craft + activism = craftivism. Creating art that is grounded in the act of 'doing', addressing political or social issues.
The key aims of this project were to introduce students to activist craft through the development of a number of pieces including a collaborative written letter, photography weave and a public bunting piece installed on the school fence. Each piece was inspired by the activist potential of art and textiles.
