Natural Angle' Is a modular fishing Lure combining and balancing complexities and simplicities found in lure fishing and fly fishing. The Lure offers a high level of control but in an accessible manner, creating a more playful experience. A modular system of parts made from raw natural materials enables easy repair and responsible end of life breakdown. Snags in rocks and weeds are common, resulting in these lures being lost in these natural environments. This makes Natural Angle the environmental choice in a market saturated with consumable plastic products which don't belong in our natural marine ecosystems.
My design approach is by crafting a narrative that engages the user through thought and interaction. I challenge conventional methods to reflect on the products function but still solve a problem. Then Isolating the functionality, abstracting its context and then creating a different type of experience alongside a hands-on user research-driven process.
