SECURITY | BARRIER

Barriers relate to privacy and security, protection, isolation, the fragility of our existence. Depending on your perspective, barriers engender a feeling of safety and security, or the complete opposite; it is often more about the sensation than the actual physical presence of an obstacle.
Significant to this work is the use of DPC, which is used as a barrier membrane in the construction industry.
Concerned with materialism and throwaway culture, Helen works principally with recycled or found materials, low value building products and organic matter, together with photography.
