Rubber Rosé

Organic forms, ambiguously shaped curves and suggestive colour are the key ingredients of my work. ‘Rubber Rosé’ sets up conversations about form, exploring what makes unappealing objects more alluring and pleasurable to the observer.
In this case I am looking at the contours and shapes of a woman's body. I want to look at the curving of females that our society has labelled ‘unappealing’.
I want to create work inspired by the flesh rolls and the abundant shapes the skin and body make.
I want the work to emphasise how the skin overlies, sits and spills when the body is relaxed.
In today’s world we see that certain body types are hidden away instead of being appreciated.
I want my work to highlight and honour what society would have us cover up.
