I designed a fun and funky occasional wear line for children age 6 to 8 years, to remind them of big and small things in the wild. The design is intended to create awareness of their existence, as children learn through the things they see and feel. The inspiration for this collection comes from the time spent as a volunteer in a community town annual summer camp. The children were fascinated by the images and curious to listen and know more, which resulted in endless questioning. During the summer camp arts and craft session, the children’s choice of colours was the same as the colour forecast for children’s clothing. This collection combines bleached denim and knitting to create a 2D and 3D effect to achieve a fun and funky look. Each outfit has a theme of different bugs.
