Ephemeral

While researching ephemeral art I stumbled upon a reference to the joy of the mundane; those everyday activities that we do without thinking. "The Small Pleasures Of Life" by Philippe Delerm describes the joy in the simple things such as picking peas from a pod. I thought this imagery would be a good base to start the process of mark making. Starting with the vague imagery of mundane peas, I discovered during the process that a metaphor can be better than a representation. In the later part of the process, I leaned further towards ephemeral materials such as ink, sandwich bags and tissue.
