For as long as I can remember I have had a love for all things ‘fighting’ related. Through classic martial arts films, years of wrestling events, dozens of arcade beat em’ ups and much more, I fell in love with ‘fighting’ and also began to think of fighting as an art form. With each of my outcomes I wanted to demonstrate the many ways fighting and professional wrestling can be seen as art.
The art of fighting itself features in my graphic novel ‘Loco’; the art of the costumes and the masks the fighters wear are represented in my ‘Gift of the Gods’ prints; and the character creation, acting and cinematography side of fighting is portrayed in my ‘I.B.W’ promotional video. These are all ways to show how ‘fighting’ does not always have to be seen in a negative light, but can be truly recognised as a form of art.
