Your Job to Find the Pearls

‘Your Job to Find the Pearls’ explores the popular phrase “The World is your Oyster” through video game culture, logic, and bright candy-like visuals. The artwork includes a 7 ft x 6 ft box made with Lilos housing a laptop on which to play a video game, a kids desk and chair, and a sound piece. The video game is unwinnable, contradicting the sound work situated in the four corners of the space that insists you must try again. The project was realised during the Covid-19 Lockdown with the use of a back garden space. An online version of the work is available at https://clareann.itch.io/final-exhibit.
