‘Serial killers’ and ‘true crime’ are genres of entertainment that are massive in the industry, but the often sensationalist tone and distribution is morally questionable. Are the media and Hollywood exploiting the morbid fascination human beings possess, and are symbols of evil necessary for society to function?
For my project I wanted to explore these questions and also examine the roots of this phenomenon/ problem by researching and illustrating basic genetic wiring and the cycle of abuse where examples of extreme immorality often stem from.
