Relationships with the Dublin City

Developed from research into the design elements of cities, and how they impact daily urban living, this project focuses on the personal and the mental relationship inhabitants have with Dublin city. The term “Topophobia” features often in this work as it describes “a fear of place” and allows for avenues of exploration into the negative aspects of city living, for both human and wildlife inhabitants of cities. These themes I investigate using a mix of illustration, animation, and mural design. Due to the Lockdown some projects had to be altered, however it did provide an opportunity to pivot an outcome to gain insight into how individuals are experiencing quarantine.
